Senior Recreation Center Introduces New Monday Zumba Class Sponsored by Doug Johnson Reeling for Kids Foundation

A new Zumba Gold class has been added to the Senior Recreation Center’s schedule, thanks to sponsorship by the Doug Johnson Reeling for Kids Foundation. The new class will take place every Monday from 1-2 pm in addition to the Friday class. Participants can attend in-person or virtually since it is a hybrid class.

Zumba Gold Fitness is a program designed for active older adults that is both innovative and fun. The class is done at a lower intensity than Zumba Basic, but it is just as enjoyable.

It’s important to note that a medical waiver is required to participate in Zumba. The waiver can be found at eldercare.ufhealth.org.  A physician’s signature may be required on this waiver prior to participation.
