The story of Touching Hearts at Home is one of family, love, and a deep commitment to exceptional senior care. It began with Rose and Ruben Ramos, who, alongside their family, experienced firsthand the challenges of finding quality, dignified care for Rose’s mother, Rita, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s & Dementia, requiring 24/7 care.
Their journey caring for Rita inspired them to create a home care agency that seniors and their families could trust—one that prioritizes safety, independence, quality of life, dignity and respect. Today, with over 14 years in business serving seniors & adults, their children, Christina and Anthony, continue that legacy, leading a team of dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s) and Home Health Aides (HHA’s) who provide personalized, professional private-duty care for seniors across North Central Florida serving 10 counties.
Touching Hearts at Home provides award-winning exceptional care services to help seniors and adults with disabilities maintain their independence and dignity. Their highly trained and experienced CareTeam offers assistance with daily activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulating, eating), respite care, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, transportation, and errands. They also provide specialized care for chronic conditions such as hospice support, Alzheimer’s & Dementia care, Parkinson’s care, and fall prevention. Additionally, they offer respite care for family caregivers. While they do not provide medical services, their experienced CareTeam ensures clients receive the care and support they need to safely age in place. Most recently, Touching Hearts at Home was awarded Best Home Care in Florida.

Touching Hearts at Home Community Health Fair to Benefit ElderCare of Alachua County – A free community event offering free screenings, wellness resources, and education to support seniors in living healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Gainesville Sports Commission’s Pickleball Showcase in Partnership with Touching Hearts at Home to Benefit ElderCare of Alachua County – Gainesville’s largest and oldest pickleball tournament, encourages wellness and active living, while this three day tournament’s proceeds benefit ElderCare of Alachua County.
