Parkinson’s Disease Hydration & Nutrition Study at the University of Florida

The University of Florida is currently recruiting participants for a research study on Parkinson’s disease. This study aims to explore the relationships between hydration, nutritional status, and non-motor symptoms in individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

About the Study

This cross-sectional pilot study, led by Principal Investigator Wendy Dahl, PhD, RD, from the Food Science & Human Nutrition Department, is designed to provide valuable insights into how hydration and nutrition impact non-motor symptoms in Parkinson’s disease.

  • Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease
  • Aged 50-80 years old

Purpose of the Study

The research seeks to better understand the role of hydration and nutrition in managing non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, contributing to potential improvements in care and quality of life for those affected by PD.
