Participate in the Close Relationships and Caregiving Study!

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is conducting a research study on close relationships and caregiving. This study focuses on couples where one partner is the primary caregiver for an aging parent or in-law. The research aims to explore the dynamics of caregiving within relationships.

About the Study

The study is enrolling couples in which the female partner is the primary caregiver for an aging parent or in-law, while the male partner is not a primary caregiver of an adult relative. Both partners will be asked to complete a short online survey.

Study Details

  • Participant Eligibility:
  • The couple must have lived together in a romantic relationship for at least one year.
  • Both partners must be free of chronic conditions requiring dependence on each other.
  • Couples must not have children requiring special care beyond what is typical.
  • Both partners must:
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Reside in the United States
  • Speak English as their first or primary language
  • Be willing to complete an online survey
  • Study Duration and Payment:
  • The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
  • Participants will receive $25 per couple for completing the survey.
