Research Study Opportunity for Dementia Caregivers in Florida

The College of Medicine at the University of Florida is conducting a research study seeking adult child and spousal caregivers of individuals diagnosed with dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body dementia, stroke-related dementia, or frontotemporal dementia. This study aims to understand the caregiving experiences and support needs of those caring for loved ones with dementia.

About the Study

This research, led by Dr. Carla L. Fisher, Dr. Carma Bylund, and Dr. Melissa Armstrong, provides an opportunity for caregivers to share their experiences and insights. Interviews can be conducted over the phone or via Zoom for convenience and are expected to last approximately one hour. As a thank you for their time, participants who complete the interview will receive a $50 gift card.

Study Details

  • Participant Eligibility:
  • Adults who are currently caring for a parent or spouse diagnosed with dementia within the past three years
  • Reside in Florida
  • Are English-speaking
