Your gift during The Amazing Give directly supports our mission: to be an advocate for the elderly and provide services that build capacity, maximize independence, and enrich the quality of life for seniors in Alachua County.

Community support helps sustain essential programs such as Senior Nutrition (Meals on Wheels), Al’z Place Adult Day Care, Independence with Low Vision Services, Transportation, the Senior Recreation Center, and our many Home & Community-Based Services that allow older adults to remain safe, healthy, and independent in their own homes.

The report highlights services supporting older adults in Alachua County and North Central Florida, including in-home care, emergency alert monitoring, transportation, volunteer service, adult day care, meals, and shopping assistance. Key metrics include 83,234 hours of in-home service, 12,671 days of emergency alert monitoring, 3,177 rides provided, 21,126 volunteer hours, 19,437 hours of adult day care, 83,038 meals delivered, and 73 shopping assistance deliveries.

Long-term accomplishments since 2018 include 573,284 meals delivered, 140,333 hours of respite care, 7,624 hours of case management, 4,397 hours of screening and assessment, 92,481 days of emergency response alert, 111,815 hours of homemaking support, 54,867 hours of personal care, 141,275 hours of home-based respite care, $394,141 in durable medical equipment and supplies for caregivers, and 31,625 transportation rides.
