Wednesdays (Amrit Yoga): 10:30am-12:00pm

Fridays (Chair Yoga): 10:15am-11:15am

About:

Yoga is rejuvenating, relaxing, and non-competitive. Yoga postures improve strength, balance, and flexibility, while yoga breathing promotes concentration, oxygenation, and better circulation. You will need to wear comfortable clothing. No special shoes are required since yoga is done barefoot. Please try to be on time so that you will hear all opening instructions and be properly warmed up for class.

Amrit Yoga: In this Yoga class, you will work gently and at your own level, only doing the postures in each class that feel right for you. These classes emphasize mindful breathing and meditative awareness as well as yoga postures.

Chair Yoga: Done entirely in a chair provided by the Senior Center. You will work gently and at your own level, only doing the postures in each class that feel right for you. For virtual participants, be sure to have a sturdy chair with no arms placed in an area where you have plenty of room to extend your arms forward and back, side to side. Set up the chair either on a carpet or a yoga mat to provide traction on the chair for the best stability.
