Community Wellbeing Mentor Training | Improving Community Behavioral Health

Community Wellbeing Mentor Training. Improving Community Behavioral Health.

Are you interested in:
• learning skills to improve emotional health, and
• teaching these skills to your friends, neighbors, or peers with support from a mental health professional?

The Community Wellbeing Mentor program is a project of the UF Mobile Outreach Clinic, aimed at increasing community wellbeing and emotional health by training community members to be Community Wellbeing Mentors (CWMs) in their communities, organizations, and churches.

The CWM training is:
• provided in one 1½ hour session
• materials are provided
• there is no cost to participants
• skills include focused breathing, grounding, and healthy lifestyle habits

After the CWM training, CWMs are encouraged to meet with community members in their social circles, community organizations, and/or churches and provide education and mentorship about strategies for wellbeing.

Facilitated by clinical psychologist Dr. Carol Lewis, with contact information provided.
